Your agent. Less verbose.

Concise catches verbose comments, oversized files, and padded PRs
before your coding agent writes them.

Open source. MIT licensed.

A 31-second film: Concise checks it first. Stock agent phrases pile into a wall until an orange stroke cuts through it. Three checks follow, using real hook output on sample writes, then the web console.

Comments: a four-line comment in src/invoice.ts is denied with [concise] Comment at …/src/invoice.ts:1 is 4 lines (limit 2). The example revision is // Amounts are integer cents; never floats.

Commit messages: AI-writing checks are optional and disabled by default. With them enabled, “Leverage a robust, seamless approach to streamline invoice rounding” is denied with [concise] 3 AI writing patterns in commit message. The example revision is “Round invoice totals to whole cents.”

Pull requests: a three-paragraph PR body is denied with [concise] PR/issue body is too verbose: 3 prose paragraphs (limit 1), shortened on screen. The example revision is “Rounds invoice totals to whole cents and updates the rounding tests.”

The revisions show what the agent could write next. Concise does not rewrite files or commit messages.

Real console screens follow: Live activity, Overview, Configuration, Playground, and Rules & usage, under “Watch every check.” Start the console with concise-web --all.

The film ends on “Your agent. Less verbose.”, the Concise mark, /plugin install concise@be-concise, and github.com/yannelli/be-concise.
